NEW DELHI: The Congress on Monday expressed concern over the continuing violence at Mau in Uttar Pradesh, and charged the Mulayam Singh Government with failing to restore normality.

The party spokesperson Anand Sharma said the violence was a worrisome development. It was unfortunate that the State Government had failed to contain it and restore normality. The events showed the shortcomings of the Government.
