NEW DELHI: Top Army commanders began their bi-annual meeting here on Monday to give the final touches to an anti-insurgency doctrine taking into account the Army's involvement in low-intensity conflict operations for five decades. The meeting will also discuss various concepts of network centric warfare, having tried out the command, control, communication and intelligence system during recent war games.
PM to address joint meet
Senior Indian Air Force (IAF) commanders, including the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal S.P. Tyagi, also met separately to discuss the importance of network centric operations. The Navy Commanders will begin their deliberations later this week. The commanders of all the three services will be addressed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other senior Ministers on October 20.
