THE CITY'S Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat is abuzz with an exhibition of paintings by Pintu Paul. Dubbed "Old tradition", the works will be on display at the parishat on Kumarakrupa Road till October 21. Here's how Paul describes his works of art: "Art is not matter. I can say anything through my canvas. I am actually inspired by old Bengali art and old Indian sculptures of various historical places." Mr. Paul always had a fascination for old tradition. "My canvas always has a strong figurative presence and all of my paintings are oil and acrylic on canvas," says the artist. Paul is based in Kolkata. Check out his works on display between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
