Back Suzlon lists at 35% premium to issue price

SUZLON Energy, a wind power company, today debuted at a premium of 35 per cent to the issue price of Rs 510 and entered into the day's list of top 20 listed companies based on market capitalisation.

Trading in the futures and options also started in the stock.

It closed the day at Rs 692.85 on the NSE, a premium of 35.85 per cent to the issue price. The high for the day was Rs 698.70, while the stock hit a low of Rs 580.25. The total traded quantity at the NSE was 3.04 crore shares.

On the BSE, the stock closed at Rs 690.50 - a 35.39 per cent premium. The total traded quantity was 1.36 crore shares. Of the shares traded, 34.71 per cent was marked for delivery on the NSE and 20.6 per cent on the BSE.

Total number of shares traded on the BSE and the NSE was 4.40 crore shares - more than the issue size of 2.93 crore shares.

Among the major buyers in today's trading was global fund house Fidelity, which bought 56 lakh shares on the NSE.

Based on today's closing price, the total market capitalisation of the company is Rs 19,838 crore.

Suzlon Energy was the top most traded counter both on the BSE and the NSE.
