Back Shanthi Gears Q2 sales up 30%

COIMBATORE: Shanthi Gears Ltd has posted a 30 per cent growth in its sales at Rs 40.61 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005 over the corresponding period of last year when its gross sale stood at Rs 31.07 crore.

The company had closed its second quarter with a profit before tax of Rs 8.43 crore, a rise of 11.5 per cent over the PBT of Rs 7.56 crore realised for the same period last year. Having provided for a deferred tax of Rs 1.08 crore, its net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 4.80 crore (Rs 4.40 crore).
