AFTER conducting the Kids Lab in 10 countries, BASF, a German chemical company, will be conducting the Kids Lab in Delhi.

Over 110,000 kids have participated in the lab, which started in Germany in 1997. In India, the programme will be organised in association with National Science Centre, a centre for informal science education.

Kids lab programme leverages on the inherent interest that children have in what goes on around them. Chemistry is brought closer to them through a hands-on lab experience, where they will perform experiments. The experiments chosen are aimed at providing enjoyment as well as a message.

More than 4500 children, aged between eight and 14, from 40 schools in and around Delhi will participate in the programme from October 19-29.

BASF product portfolio includes chemicals, plastics, agricultural products, crude oil and natural gas among others. It employs 82,000 people worldwide and posted a turnover of 37 billion Euros.
