BANGALORE: Another "Rajajinagar habba" (cultural festival) is being organised to coincide with Kannada Rajyotsava.

The week-long festival promises to be different and is being held to pay tribute to H.L. Nagegowda, a folklore expert and former legislator. The festival will be titled "Janapada Jatre" (folk festival). Organisers of the event, Rajajinagar Kannada Rajyotsava Samiti, headed by legislator N.L. Narendra Babu, have secured the list of 28 folk troupes and efforts are on to give the event finishing touches.

Traditional dishes are going to be an attraction this time. People from different parts of the State are being invited to prepare food items specific to their region and sell them to the visitors. You can relish jowar roti of north Karnataka, kotte kaduba of coastal regions, a variety of curries and even akki roti.

This year the festival will be held at KLE Society grounds. The organisers have invited applications for putting up stalls at the venue.
