Back GMR Industries posts higher net, despite lower sales

HYDERABAD: Despite a fall of over 10 per cent in net sales at Rs 67.45 crore (Rs 75.57 crore), GMR Industries Ltd has recorded a growth of over 88 per cent in net profit, at Rs 10.86 crore (Rs 5.76 crore), for the second quarter of current fiscal ended September 2005, yielding an EPS of Rs 3.23 (Rs 1.75).

However, for the six months period, the net sales stood at Rs 152.28 crore (Rs 126.06 crore), while the post-tax profit amounted to Rs 21.98 crore (Rs 11.4 crore), yielding an EPS of Rs 6.55 (Rs 3.46).
