Back Integrated textile park planned in TN

THE Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has plans to establish an integrated textile park at an outlay of Rs 1, 000 crore with the Central assistance.

The proposed park, to be established in association with the Madurai Textile Exporters Association, would facilitate the promotion of the manufacture and export of textiles and apparels, said the Chamber President, Mr S. Rethinavelu, while addressing the reporters here.

He further said that efforts are on to locate 150 acres of land for the project. The promoters have formed a special purpose vehicle to acquire the land and proceed ahead with the project. The chamber has established a business promotion council to promote direct relations among traders and exporters, he added.
