Back Drive to recover tax dues in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Revenue Minister, Mr K.M. Mani, said that a vigorous drive should be launched to recover tax dues over the next four months.

The Minister said this while addressing a meeting of the District Collectors held here on Tuesday. Innovative tactics employed by the Collectors would have a bearing on the success of the drive, Mr Mani said. Each district must be able to achieve its target.

Red tape should not be allowed to come in the way of solving public grievances promptly, he added. Among those who attended the meeting were Mr Alphonse Kannanthanam, Land Use Commissioner, and Mr John Mathai, Secretary, Revenue.
