Back Nalco H1 net up 13.96 pc Our Bureau
BHUBANESWAR: NATIONAL Aluminium Company (Nalco) has achieved the highest-ever quarterly net profit of Rs 283.04 crore for the second quarter ended September 2005 against Rs 275.50 crore recorded in the corresponding period last fiscal. According to the unaudited financial results for the three-month period taken on record in the board of directors meeting held in New Delhi on Friday, the sales turnover of the company increased to Rs 1,149.98 crore from Rs 1,062.26 crore during the last quarter. For the first half of the current fiscal, the company achieved a sales turnover of Rs 2,221.68 crore from Rs 1,953.61 crore in the previous period, representing an increase of 13.72 per cent. Similarly, the net profit of the company increased by 13.96 per cent to Rs 536.60 crore from Rs 494.53 crore. The company also reported improved production of alumina and aluminium in the second quarter.
