Normal services yet to resume

Single-line operation between Aluru Road and Bitragunta

CHENNAI: Normal train services were yet to be restored on the Chennai Central-Vijayawada section due to single line operation between Aluru Road and Bitragunta on South Central Railway.

The following trains will run on normal route on Friday (via Gudur and Vijayawada): train No. 2433 Chennai Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express, 2842 Central-Howrah Coromandel Express, 2712 Central-Vijayawada Pinakini Express, 6043 Central-Kakinada Circar Express, 2967 Central-Jaipur Express, 2759 Central-Hyderabad Charminar Express, 2621 Central-New Delhi Tamil Nadu Express, 6004 Central-Howrah Mail, 3352 Alleppey-Dhanbad/Tata Express.

The following trains have been cancelled:

Train No. 2615 Central-New Delhi Grand Trunk Express, 2077 Central-Vijayawada Jan Shatabdi Express, 7053 Central-Hyderabad Express, 6033 Central-Dehradun/Chandigarth Express, 6804 Tiruchi-Howrah Express (via Egmore), 5221 Ernakulam-Barauni Express, 6317 Kanniyakumari-Jammu Tawi Himsagar Express and 6787 Madurai-Jammu Tawai Link Express.

Train No. 5825 Bangalore-Guwahati Express will run via Chennai, Renigunta and Gooty, according to a railway press release.
