Back GFA to launch New York Deli by next April Deepak Goel
New Delhi , Nov. 4 GLOBAL Franchise Architects (GFA), managers of Pizza Corner and Coffee World outlets, plans a third chain of outlets, New York Deli, to serve soups, salads and sandwiches. The first two outlets of the chain would start in Bangalore by April next year. It would be a quick service format for sandwiches and salads, enabling customers to customise their own dishes. "Each outlet would have a space of 800-1200 sq. ft. To start with, we would open two outlets and later expand the chain significantly", said Mr Anoop Sequeira, Chief Executive Officer, GFA. The company launched a New York Deli outlet in Bangkok last year. Following the success of the outlet, it plans to open 10 more outlets in Thailand and two in India. The company also plans to take Coffee World, which currently has a presence only in south India, to the western and northern markets by opening 11 more outlets on a franchisee basis by March next year. Thus, the number of outlets in the country would go up to 15 from the existing four. The company has signed on Bollywood actress Esha Deol as brand ambassador for Coffee World outlets in India and Bangladesh. GFA would also expand its Pizza Corner chain by adding 15 more outlets. "These outlets, to be set up on franchisee basis, would also move to tier-II towns," said Mr Sequeira.
