Back Rebuilding `Silicon Valley'

This refers to the article `Why Bangalore is not a Silicon Valley', (Business Line, October 31): True, the IT sector too has to accept part of the blame for the inadequate infrastructure.

Bangalore, at one time considered the retirees paradise, was never meant to cater to the burgeoning high-profile young professional.

However, when multinational giants set up shop in Bangalore more than a decade ago, they perhaps did not foresee the massive growth they would record. And the city is now facing trouble.

Perhaps even now, the IT sector and the various MNCs can pool their resources and chart their own course with spanking new townships far from the madding crowd!

As a group they certainly have the brains, the commitment and the money to do it — a much better option than getting into unseemly controversies.
