Back Scandent BPO arm wins Rs 170-cr deal

SCANDENT Solutions Corporation has announced that its subsidiary, Cambridge Integrated Services Victoria Pty Limited, has been awarded a $37.7-million (Rs 170-crore) contract by the New South Wales Work Cover Authority.

The three-year contract will be for processing workers' compensation claims. It will give Cambridge Australia an eight per cent share of the workers' compensation claims processing market in the State, said a release issued by the company.

The company recently merged with Cambridge Services Holdings LLC to form an entity named Cambridge Solutions Limited. Scandent Solutions offers business consulting, application implementation, software engineering, maintenance and support services, whereas Cambridge provides high-end BPO services for insurance, financial services and healthcare firms, as well as specialised insurance claims management.

The company also announced the opening of a new BPO centre in Sydney with 150 staff. It has a centre in Victoria.
