Back Infotech bags SP AusNet deal Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Nov.10 SP AUSNET, an amalgamation of the former TXU Networks and SPI PowerNet in Australia, has selected Infotech Enterprises Ltd, a Hyderabad-based geospatial services company, to provide data maintenance services for its gas and electricity network assets under a two-year contract. Infotech operates the data maintenance centre for SP AusNet from its facilities in Melbourne.According to company officials, the deal is worth about 2 million Australian dollars spread over a two-year time frame. The Chairman and CEO of Infotech, Mr B.V.R.Mohan Reddy, in a statement said, "SP AusNet contract represents an important milestone for Infotech's business in Australia. By successfully proving our onshore production capability, we now offer a greater choice of outsourcing options that deliver operational and cost-saving benefits for our customers." The SP AusNet engagement reinforces Infotech's presence in the utility markets in Australia, which also includes customers such as Origin Energy and Citipower.
