Decorative furniture on display

Exhibition includes special handcrafted pieces from various States

Poompuhar, the Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation, is having an exhibition of decorative furniture and home furnishings at the C.P. Arts Centre in Alwarpet.

Special discount

With a special discount of 10 per cent, the exhibition, inaugurated on November 11, will be on at the venue from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. including Sundays, till November 22.

China cabinets

Special handcrafted furniture -- dining tables, swings, pooja mandapams and china cabinets attract visitors.

The display also includes tables, stools, sofa sets, chairs, room dividers, telephone stands, book racks and corner stands in rosewood, teakwood and country wood.

The furniture comes from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.

Various home furnishing items are also on display.
