Back New Holland launches new versions in TN Our Correspondent
Madurai , Nov. 16 THE New Holland Tractors (India) Private Ltd, established in 1996 as a subsidiary of CNH Global N.V., strengthened its market presence in Tamil Nadu with the launch of six new tractors at a function here. While two of them mark its entry in the hitherto unrepresented segments one in the below 40 HP segment NH 3130-39 HP, and one in the 41-60 HP segment NH 3600-47 HP, the other four are part of the contemporary international range in the two-wheel and four-wheel drive categories, introduced for the first time in the country (NH 5500 in 55 HP and NH 7500 in 75 HP categories). Also introduced was a heavy-duty Panesar TDC 513 Combine Harvester with NH 3630TX and a cutting capacity of 1.5 acres/hour that can be used both in dry and wet conditions for the harvesting market. "With this launch, the company has now a range of 10 tractor models with over 40 variants to cater to the various needs of the Indian farmer," said the company's Managing Director, Mr Mario Gasparri. He said that the subsidiary established in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with an expandable capacity to manufacture 30,000 tractors per annum on an investment over Rs 250 crore, has been growing. The tractors have lower fuel consumption, low maintenance and longevity, he said. The dealership in Tamil Nadu has grown from 5 in 2003 to 19 in 2005, covering almost all districts in the State.
