BANGALORE: Five persons, including a five-year-old girl, were killed in four road accidents reported from the city and Bangalore Rural District since Wednesday afternoon. Police said two businessmen were killed when a vehicle rammed the motorcycle they were riding on the Bangalore-Bellary Road in Vijayapura police station limits in Devanahalli taluk. The accident occurred on Wednesday night near Urulagudda Gate. The dead were identified as Shekar (25) and Hari Prasad (23) of Bagepalli in Kolar district. The two, who were into business here, were coming to the city from Bagepalli. The Vijayapura police have registered a case and are on the look out for the vehicle. An elderly woman was killed in a hit-and-run case reported from Airport traffic police station limits on Thursday. The police said a vehicle rammed Krishnaveni (65) of Doddanekkudni, while she was walking near the ISRO around 7.30 p.m. The Airport traffic police have registered a case and are on the look out for the vehicle. Anusha (5) was killed when she was knocked down by a car near Mathikere junction, off M.S. Ramaiah Hospital, on Wednesday. The Yeshwanthapur traffic police have registered a case. An unidentified boy aged around 15 was killed when a lorry hit his bicycle on Tumkur Road, off CMTI junction, around on Wednesday. The body has been kept in the M.S. Ramaiah Hospital mortuary. The Yeshwanthapur traffic police have seized the lorry and arrested the driver.
