The facilities include identification, grading and certification of diamonds, an assaying and hallmarking centre, besides a gem-testing laboratory. Assuring the trainees that the best of faculty and training infrastructure were being provided to them, DSIDC executive director Rita Kumar said the institute would conduct 15 courses including a comprehensive three-year diploma course in jewellery design and manufacture technology.
