NEW DELHI: Both the Houses of Parliament are expected to be adjourned on Wednesday, first day of the winter session, after obituary references and tributes to former President K.R. Narayanan and a former Lok Sabha member Prakash Patil, who represented Sangli in Maharashtra. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi told reporters on Tuesday that at a meeting of party leaders called by the Speaker this decision was taken in keeping with the traditions. With a day's adjournment and 5 days reserved for private members' bills, there will be 17 "working day sessions" in the month-long winter session of Parliament.
