BANGALORE: Maxtor Corporation, a vendor of hard disk drives and consumer storage products, said on Wednesday that it would ship its next generation 500 GB hard drives for enterprise, consumer and desktop markets this quarter.

The company would ship SATA II and ATA/133 MaXLine (enterprise solutions), Quick View (consumer electronics-DVRs and PVRs) and Diamond Max (desktop) brand hard drives with capacity point up to 500 GB, said Mr Robert Chu, newly appointed Vice-President for sales and marketing in Asia Pacific and Japan, Maxtor.
