Fresh warrant to produce Moddu Sreenu in Paritala case

ANANTAPUR: The CBI investigating the Paritala Ravindra murder case filed a supplementary chargesheet in the Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate court here on Wednesday, including three more as accused persons.

The Sessions Court was, however, learnt to have returned the chargesheet filed initially to the lower court, stating that it was incomplete. The AJFCM court was stated to have received on Wednesday the chargesheet returned by the higher court.

The supplementary chargesheet filed by the CBI included P. Goverdhan Reddy, his associate B. Ramaswamy and U. Anandkumar Reddy, alias Rice Mama, as the accused persons. The number of accused persons in the Paritala case has thus gone up to 16. Though the charges framed against them are not known yet, the CBI had already claimed that it had secured some evidence on their involvement in the case.

The main chargesheet filed by the CBI on April 26 this year had the names of G. Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri as (A-1) followed by Julakanti Srinivasa Reddy alias Moddu Sreenu, P. Narayana Reddy, V. Rekhamaiah, B. Ranganayakulu, A. Kondaiah alias Konda, V. Srinivasulu alias Seena, M. Obi Reddy, K. Ramamohan Reddy, G. Venkatarami Reddy, T. Peddi Reddy, V. Hanumantha Reddy and T. Konda Reddy.

Further, the chargesheet had said that the investigation against U. Anandkumar Reddy, P. Goverdhan Reddy and B. Ramaswamy alias Venkataswamy, who were arrested in the case, was in progress. .

Some clues secured

The CBI had informed the court on September 6 that it had secured some clues on the possible involvement of Goverdhan Reddy and Ramaswamy in the case. The court also split the case into two on the same day between the twelve arrested and the then elusive Sreenu. The split case was transferred to the Sessions Court on September 16 for enabling the commencement of trial.

Meanwhile, AJFCM A. Jayaraj, on Wednesday, issued a fresh prisoner's transfer warrant against Sreenu and directed the CBI to produce him before the court by December 13.
