Concert by Balabhaskar

ALAPPUZHA: The Alive, a forum of musicians and music lovers here, is organising a concert by violinist Balabhaskar's Big Band at Alappuzha Pagoda Resort on December 3.

Addressing presspersons here on Thursday,

The Alive president Saji Paul, secretary A.T. Isaacs and treasurer P. Venkitarama Iyer, said the veteran Kathaprasangam artiste Ramla Begum and music director Kalavoor Balan would be felicitated on the occasion. The entry would be for invited persons only.

Mr. Iyer said The Alive was planning to honour the musicians and other artistes from Alappuzha and neighbourhood.

A large number of artistes from the region had made a mark in the world of music but they had not been accorded due honour at their place of birth, he added.
