Back Suzlon bags China, Korea orders

MUMBAI: Suzlon Energy Ltd, a major player in the wind energy sector, has secured contracts worth Rs 228 crore for wind turbine generators from China-based Guohua Inner Mongolia Huitengliang Wind Farm Project and Jeju Wind Farm project, South Korea. This is Suzlon's first foray in these countries, informed a release issued by the company.

Suzlon would commission a factory in China next year, which would supply turbines for Guohua project. The two orders are over and above the order book of Rs 2,150 crore announced at the time of second quarter results on October 31.

For Jeju project, Suzlon has tied up with Unison Co Ltd, a major player in wind power with footprint in South Korea.
