Kollam takes title

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kollam won the overall title in the State rural athletic meet at the Central stadium here on Thursday. Kollam, which dominated the proceedings in the girls' section, finished first with 41 points. Palakkad was second with 39.

Rakesh B. Nair of Pathanamthitta emerged the individual champion in the boys' section with 10 points. Sini Alex of Kollam took the title in the girls' category (10 points).
