Back IBM Daksh opens 3 BTO centres

IBM Daksh on Monday opened three new business transformation outsourcing (BTO) delivery centres in Pune, Chandigarh and Kolkata. These centres would have a seating capacity of 2,100, of which one-third would be in Pune.

Mr Sanjeev Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer, said the new centres would provide customer care outsourcing services to domestic and international clients and Pune would cater to the high end services such as technical support, hardware support, customer care and insurance subrogation. It would be addressing verticals in hi-tech, telecom and insurance.

Mr Aggarwal said the BTO Phase I had taken place in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore and the Phase II in Pune, Kolkata and Chandigarh. The company also has its delivery centre in Manila, the Philippines.

Looking at the domestic market, he said it was about $500 million and growing at 50-60 per cent compounded annual growth rate, and the boom would be coming from the telecom and financial services.
