Back Ittiam to offer solutions based on DaVinci tech

BANGALORE: Ittiam Systems has announced it will provide software solutions based on DaVinci technology from Texas Instruments (TI).

TI's DaVinci technology has enhanced signal-processing capability and allows multimedia experiences in embedded applications. With this, Ittiam can address wider markets, from handheld applications to high definition and performance sockets, such as broadcast TV.

Mr Srini Rajam, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ittiam Systems, said, "Ittiam's expertise will help TI's DaVinci technology to address key video applications and make the designing easier for developers without digital video expertise. Integrating video features in products will be as simple as writing to an API, allowing developers to easily access the high performance of the digital signal processor."
