Special buses for Shilparamam

The RTC city region will be operating 8 special buses to Shilparamam in addition to the existing services from Friday to January 10, 2006 in view of the 12th All India Crafts Mela. The buses will start from Koti, KPHB, NGOs colony, Mehdipatnam, Charminar, Uppal, Hafeezpet Railway Station and Hi-tech city railway station from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Office-bearers

Ch. Pradeep Kumar, a post-graduate in general surgery, Osmania Medical College, is the new President of the Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors' Association.

The other office-bearers elected unanimously at the recent general body meeting are: George Reddy, Srinath Reddy, Sridhar (Vice-Presidents), U. Krishnam Raju (General Secretary), P. Rajasekhar (Treasurer), Shankar (Chief Coordinator), Trimurtulu, Ramprasad (Regional Coordinators), Sriharsha, Sridhar (Organising Secretaries), Sudheer (dental representative) and Sridhar (super speciality representative).

Bags gold medal

Y.N. Reddy, Head, Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, bagged Shri Girdhari Lal Memorial gold medal for year 2005 for his outstanding contribution in the field of horticulture. Dr. Reddy received the award from K.L. Chadha, president of Horticultural Society of India, at a function held in New Delhi recently.
