Back Visakha Utsav postponed

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakha Utsav - scheduled to be held this month for four days from December 25 - has been postponed to January 8, according to a press release issued by the district administration.

It is stated that the weather is not congenial to holding the festival this month and the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S Rajasekhara Reddy, has also conveyed to the district administration that it will not be possible for him to attend the Utsav, if it is held according to the original schedule.

Consequently, the decision to postpone the fete was taken on Wednesday.
