Latest stringing machine set up at Chennai

CHENNAI: After Mumbai and Bangalore, it is Chennai, which will have the benefit of the latest electronic badminton and tennis stringing machine `Es 5 Pro', a fully computerised facility that guarantees 100 per cent stringing result.

At a function held in the indoor hall of the Nehru stadium on Thursday, former All England champion Pullela Gopi Chand cut a ribbon to usher in the modern Japanese technology to the city, courtesy Sunrise Sports (India) Ltd, which represents Yonex, the official badminton equipment sponsor and development partner of the International Badminton Federation and a series of National bodies including India.

In the city the stringing facility will be available at the `Sports Supplier', a sports goods shop.

Apart from Gopi Chand there were other leading National players, including Aparna Popat at the function.
