Back Real estate convention to be held from Jan 22-26 Our Bureau
New Delhi , Dec. 25 THE Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) is organising its annual event, National Convention (NATCON 2006), from January 22-26, with a view to drawing a five-year blue print for promoting and developing real estate in India. Ms Kumari Selja, Minister for Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation, Mr Deepak Parekh, Chairman, HDFC, and Mr K.V. Kamath, Managing Director & CEO, ICICI Bank, would be present as chief guests for the inaugural session on January 22, 2006 on the cruise liner Super Star Libra at Mumbai, a CREDAI statement said here. The four-day convention would discuss issues such as foreign direct investment, venture funds, conventional real estate financing options, retail, hotels and hospitality properties' trends, opportunities in non-metro cities, and sustaining real estate. Commenting on the upcoming event, Mr Kumar Gera, Chairman, CREDAI said, "The real estate industry in India is in a state of change. Many of our yesteryears' practices will find no takers tomorrow. Change is happening in the market place, financial sectors of real estate development. The paradigm shifts are inevitable. We welcome all our developer friends to attend this convention and keep pace with the new trends in the industry."
