Back Balaji Rail wins contract from Syria

BALAJI Railroad Systems Ltd (BARSYL), a rail consultancy company and the International Technical & Engineering Services Corporation, Jordan have been jointly awarded an assignment by the Syrian Railways.

The consultancy assignment involves the inspection of electrical and thermit welding points on the railway track between Dei Al Zor and Al Bokamal stations of the Syrian Railways.

According to a press release from the Hyderabad-based, BARSYL the report on the condition of the tracks, thorough examination of welding points and details of necessary procedures for corrective action would be prepared within three months.

BARSYL would also prepare a technical conditions book and provide training to the Syrian Railways staff in repairs of fractured welding points. The Consultancy project is the first for the company in Syria.

The specialist railway consultancy company has also been shortlisted for a few feasibility studies and consultancy assignments in the country, the release said.
