Free cardiac consultation
A free cardiac surgery consultation has been arranged for patients requiring surgery at the city's Sagar Apollo hospital on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. For appointments and further details, call Abhinandan on Ph 9844006842 or Sunil Gowda on 9845526242, a release said.
Programme
The city-based Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research has initiated a six-week programme on project-oriented Chemical / Biological education for students studying in 1st year B.Sc. Prize-winners
As many as 129 students won prizes at the second State-level art competition for school and college students conducted by the city-based Chitrakala Academy. Among them 14 were gold medal winners, 19 silver medal winners, 21 bronze medal winners and 75 Balakala Mithra award winners. These prizes will be distributed at a function at the Indian Institute of World Culture, B.P. Wadia Road, Basavanagudi, on January 1, a release said.
Exhibition
An exhibition of handicraft items produced in Kutch district of Gujarat was inaugurated at the Kassia Hall, near Vijayanagara Toll Gate, on Saturday. The exhibition is organised by the Sri Kutch Kalyana Trust, Bhuj taluk, and the Development Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles. The Trust has lent a helping hand in reconstruction of lives devastated by the earthquake.
