BESCOM mass disconnection drive
The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has will launch a mass disconnection drive against consumers who are yet to clear their arrears, in the following areas on December 28: Jayamahal Extension, Nandidurga Extension, Munireddypalya, Chinnappa Garden, Marappa Garden, S.K. Garden, R.T. Nagar and Modi Garden, New Market road, O.P.H. road and Dharmaraj Koil Street.

The Regional Passport Office here has despatched passports related to applications up to the following serial numbers during the week ending December 24: A028782 /05, K011995/05, C009045/05, E027116/05, G003097/05, M013177/05, N004862/05. Power dues
BESCOM's additional East division, E2 sub-division has decided to disconnect all the installations with arrears in the following areas on Tuesday and December 30: Guzary market, Beef Market, Shivajinagar, Rajiv Gandhi Colony and Police Quarters. The following areas will be covered on December 28, 29 and 30: Infantry Road, Plain Street, Union Street, OPH road, M.K. Street, Hospital road, Russel Market and Central Street.
Training
The Multi Disciplinary Training Centre under the Commissioner for Khadi and Village Industries will organise on January 1, a training programme on detergent cake making for educated unemployed youth and housewives. NGOs can also sponsor candidates. Those interested in joining the training programme have been asked to call 25650285 or report in person to the offices at Dooravaninagar.
