Two arrested for Cenvat fraud

BANGALORE: Officers of the Central Excise Bangalore I Commissionerate arrested S. Rajamannar, Chief Executive Officer, and R. Rajendran, manager of Rajaa Magnetics Ltd, on Old Madras Road on Friday for alleged "large-scale Cenvat fraud" and Central Excise duty evasion to the tune of Rs. 1.5 crore.
