THE Rs 2,000-crore recruitment industry in the country is in a major growth phase.

Recruitment companies involved in search, selection and staffing are growing at 35 per cent per year, with 90 per cent of the revenues coming from the organised sector. To discuss the talent crunch that the economy is experiencing, the Executive Recruiters Association (ERA), a body representing executive recruitment firms across the country, is organising a national convention on `War for Talent - The Next Decade' in Bangalore on January 6.

Mr K. Lakshmikanth, Honorary Secretary, ERA, and Convention Chairman, told newspersons here, "ERA will strive to make available advanced techniques and ensure recruiters follow certain code of ethics."

Speakers include Capt. Gopinath, CEO, Air Deccan; Mr S.V. Nathan, Senior Vice-President & Head (HR), Deloitte Consulting; Dr Ganesh Natarajan, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Zensar Technologies; and Mr Darshan Mehta, President and CEO, Arvind Brands.
