Back PR society institutes awards for professionals in Kerala

THE Thiruvananthapuram chapter of Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) has announced that it is instituting two annual awards for excellence in public relations and corporate social responsibility.

The `public relations practitioner of the year' award is open to all public relations (PR) professionals working in the State. It will be presented to a PR professional who has demonstrated exemplary skills and the highest ethical qualities in PR/ information practices, a PRSI release said.

The PRSI `award for corporate social responsibility' will recognise an organisation based in Kerala for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. CSR projects will have to demonstrate the organisation's leadership qualities, commitment to values, and respect for individuals, communities and the environment.

Applications for the awards can be submitted till February 15.
