BANGALORE: The crowned one handed out the coronet to a local beauty. Miss India Earth-2005 Niharika Singh crowned Bangalore girl Nani Lemima one of the 15 "Pond's Googly Woogly Princesses" from among the two lakh entries received for the contest from across the country.
`Most memorable'
Ms. Singh visited Ms. Lemima at her house and crowned her in the presence of her family¸ friends and neighbours. A first semester MBA student at the City College, Jayanagar, 24-year-old Ms. Lemima lives near Dairy Circle on Hosur Road. Speaking after the crowning ceremony, Ms. Singh said The contest was kicked off on October 25 where women above 18 were invited to write about the best compliment they have received and the most beautiful moments in their lives. Ms. Lemima won because of a compliment she received from a friend: "You are so beautiful even the stars and the moon bow to you and I am so scared that they might take you away from me." Her answer fetched her the crowning glory. Overjoyed with the honour Ms. Lemima described the event as "most memorable" and thanked her friend for sending her the winning compliment.
Pond's Diamond Crown
She said of the 15 princesses selected, four will bag the Pond's Diamond Crown worth Rs. 2 lakhs, and receive the Pond's beauty range and Ritu Kumar's designer outfit from Pond's Femina Miss India. They will be crowned the "Pond's Googly Woogly Queens" in a glittering ceremony.
