Bangalore: Delhi-bound Air Sahara passengers from Bangalore, whose travel plans were upset by the dense fog in the national capital on January 3, now have something to cheer about. The airline has offered them free return tickets to any city on its network, including London and Singapore. Passengers on the airline's Bangalore-Delhi sector, along with those scheduled to travel by Air Sahara flights to Delhi from Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai had to endure long delays. The flights were either diverted or returned to Lucknow due to poor visibility on Tuesday. The new offer will apply to all these passengers. While passengers from Lucknow and Delhi were provided hotel accommodation, the others had to stay at the respective airports. Meanwhile, the Bangalore-Delhi sector got a little more crowded with the proposed entry of another private airliner.
New service
Regional carrier Jagson has proposed to launch its service on the Bangalore-Delhi sector as part of its route network plans covering nine cities by the end of the year. The new service will provide Bangaloreans with one more choice for air travel. Jagson plans to acquire 19 Airbus aircraft to service the routes. The airline will seek permission from the Director-General Civil Aviation.
