Back Water levels decline in Kerala reservoirs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water levels at the three major reservoirs in the State — Idukki, Idamalayar and Kallada — have recorded a slight decline when compared to the last week, figures released by the Central Water Commission revealed.

The level declined from 2,391.30 ft to 2,389.65 ft at Idukki, 527.20 ft to 525.72 ft at Idamalayar and from 379.59 ft to 378.58 ft at Kallada.

But when compared to the levels recorded last year, Idukki showed a rise of 27.27 ft of water, Idamalayar 23.92 ft and Kallada, 10.59 ft.
