Bail plea of accused persons in Paritala case rejected

Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR: The District and Sessions Court on Friday rejected a plea by two accused persons in the Paritala Ravindra murder case seeking permission to attend the last rites of one of their relatives scheduled at Tagarakunta village in Kanaganapalli mandal of the district on January 9.

M. Obi Reddy and T. Peddi Reddy, the two accused in the sensational murder case, who are facing the charges of being key facilitators to the killers, had filed a petition in the court two days ago seeking permission to attend the funeral of their relative, who died at Bangalore earlier this week.

The counsel for CBI, however, argued against granting the permission stating that their visit to the village would create a law and order problem. Besides, the Judge, S. Chinnaiah, also felt that the papers submitted in support of their request were also not proper and the plea was rejected.
