"Kalaignar" awardees announced

CHENNAI: Chinnakuthoosi, M.Metha and Jayaraj have been selected for the "Kalaignar Award" 2005 given by the Murasoli Trust.

The annual award, presented to those who excel in Tamil language, literature and culture, carries Rs. 1 lakh each. DMK president M. Karunanidhi will give away the award at a function to be held here on January 30, according to a press release from the trust.
