Train rescheduled

Train No 8004 Yeswantpur-Howrah Express, scheduled to leave Yeshwantpur at 6.45 p.m. on Sunday, has been rescheduled to leave at 6.30 a.m. on Monday, because of late running of the pairing train, according to a South Western Railway press release.

Free coaching

The Welfare Department of the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) will hold free coaching for IAS/IPS aspirants among Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and minorities. Candidates who have applied for the civil service examinations could contact the BMP office with caste certificate and proof of residence in the BMP area. The applications should reach the office before Tuesday, a release said.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited cables have been damaged and services of approximately 1,800 telephones working in HRBR 1st Block, 2nd Block, Banaswadi Main Road, Subbanapalya, Annaiah Reddy Layout, Abbaiah Reddy Layout, Chairman Papaiah Reddy Layout and parts of Kammanahalli have been affected.
