Back Accreditations for NFC

HYDERABAD: Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), an industrial unit under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), has obtained two certifications pertaining to environment management.

The Country Manager (India) of DNV, Norway, Mr N.R. Krishnakumar, presented the accredited certificates with ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and OHSAS 18001:1999 to the Chief Executive of NFC, Mr R. Kalidas, at a function here on Tuesday. The NFC has put in place EMS, which involves energy audit, integrated water management system for conservation of water, plantation of saplings every year and hazard operational study of chemical plants etc, a press release said.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Anil Kakodkar, Secretary, DAE, said the commitment to safety at DAE was complete.
