Back Helmet to come with bike in AP

HYDERABAD: In order to increase the usage of helmets by two-wheeler riders, the Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to make it mandatory for the dealers to sell helmets along with vehicles.

Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, the Minister for Transport and Cooperation said the Government would implement the rule with effect from January 15. Referring to a recent High Court directive, he appealed to the people to wear helmets while riding on two wheelers. He also appealed to the car users to use seat belts. The Minister earlier released a CD produced by the Transport Department to promote road safety.
