Chandigarh: After nearly a fortnight of intense cold weather, many places in north India heaved a sigh of relief on Wednesday as they basked under a bright sun with Met department predicting warmer days ahead. "Sunny days are likely in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh from today," an official of the Meteorological Department said here. The maximum temperature rose by one to three degrees giving people the much-needed respite from the bone-chilling cold. PTI
