Back ICICI offers home banking service in Kochi

ICICI Bank has introduced Bank@Home service in Kochi to enable customers to make banking transactions from home.

The facility available in Kochi and Thiruvananathapuram will soon be extended to Thrissur and Kozhikode, Mr Anup Bagchi, General Manager, ICICI Bank, said at a press meet.

Customers in Kochi can withdraw or deposit cash by calling the phone banking team (238400/98954 78000). They can request delivery/ pick up from any address within city limits.

Requests placed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. would be serviced within two hours the same day. All calls made after 5 p.m. will be serviced within two hours of the branch opening on the next working day. The transaction limit ranges from Rs 2,000 to Rs 1 lakh.

A nominal fee is charged for pick up/ delivery for savings account holders. Bank@Home requests can also be placed in drop boxes installed at several places in the city. These requests will be processed on the next working day.

On the bank's Kerala business, Mr Bagchi said it had an outstanding business of Rs 900 crore since commencement of operation in the state in 1996. Its business was growing at 30 per cent per annum, he said.

Mr Bijith Bhaskar, Regional Head, Kerala said that bank planned to open more branches in the state and two new branches at Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode would be opened in the current fiscal. The bank offers customers a multi channel access network that includes 26 branches and 81 ATMs in Kerala, call centre, mobile banking and Internet banking, he added.
