Bajaj Auto Q3 net up

MUMBAI: Bajaj Auto has reported a 53.3 per cent rise in net profit at Rs. 278.99 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 against Rs. 182.01 crore in the same quarter in the previous fiscal. Total income has increased by 24.50 per cent to Rs. 2,107.32 crore from Rs. 1,692.55 crore, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. The consolidated group income stood at Rs. 253.98 crore for the third quarter against Rs. 191.73 crore in the corresponding period in 2004-05. Net sales have increased to Rs. 2,080.82 crore from Rs. 1,701.42 crore in the previous fiscal.
