The Auto Expo 2006 in Delhi showcased a technological breakthrough - glass that could sustain accidents, vandalism, theft and even terrorist attacks. Though the live demonstration focused on car security, the XDS Glass Protection System is now also being used to protect high security government and private buildings. It has the ability to hold up 95 per cent of the glass fragments together in case of extreme pressures such as storms, hurricanes and earthquakes.
